Dear Parents,

The Nimitz PTA is continuing the Direct Donation campaign to raise funds required to maintain key programs such as those outlined in the welcome letter by the PTA President.

Some of the key programs PTA supported last year are:

  • Technology Specialist to work with all grade levels in the computer lab
  • Art instructor for primary grades
  • School assembly enrichment performances from professional artists

The PTA needs to raise $25,000 this school year in order to continue to provide these and other programs that support student learning and welfare. Without your support we may lose some of these programs.

In past years, our donation participation rate has barely touched 25% of Nimitz families. We are hoping our parent community will step forward to support Nimitz programs by achieving 50% participation. We need your help to make Nimitz one of the top schools in the Cupertino School District. Our suggested donation is $150 per child. Although, any donation amount is greatly appreciated and will help maintain PTA funded programs. All contributions are confidential and tax deductible.

An easy and effective way to double your contribution is to see if your employer has a matching gift program (like Microsoft, Sun Microsystems and others listed below.) All you have to do is fill out the appropriate form supplied by your employer and send it back to Nimitz PTA with your donation.

If your company is not on this list, please call your Human Resources Department to check if they have a gift matching program. If you have an Employer Matching Gift Form, please submit that form with your check.
